United States Armed Forces – MOS Basic Recruitment (BR)
Glossary: PTI - Physical Training Instructor BR - Basic Recruitment
This session will be used to understand what recruitment is used for. This session will also allow us to help you develop your recruitment skills.
Do we know what Recruitment is?
[Wait for replies then answer with the following statement]
Recruitment is bringing new personnel into USAF and assisting them. This accounts for getting them sat down. Believe it or not, training is part of Recruitment.
Give me an example of a recruitment line?
[Give feedback on the recruitment lines people give]
The following recruitment line is something I'd not like to see be used.
Typing for instance – “hello welcum to usaf can I elp u?”
This is not the effective way.
Using techniques such as grammar, periods and dashes are all effective.
Something like – “Welcome to USAF how may I help you?” or Welcome to USAF, how may I assist you?
One of these would be effective.
After this session, I expect you all to seat civilians in the lobby, make sure their uniform is correct and also have the correct badge equipped. This applies for mottos as well.
After this training has been conducted, add (BR) to the end of your motto
Example motto – [US: AF] Rank [Promo tag] (BR)
Some of you may be wondering what BR stands for, this is your Basic Recruitment tag to show you’ve undergone this training
